Torsion simple modules over the quantum spatial ageing algebra

Various classes of simple torsion modules are classified over the quantum spatial ageing algebra (this is a Noetherian algebra of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 4). Explicit constructions of these modules are given and for each module its annihilator is found.     

Characterization of acceptance sets for co-monotone risk measures

We present a geometric characterization of acceptance sets for monotone, co-monotone and convex risk measures on finite state spaces. Geometrically, such acceptance sets can be represented by convex polygons with edges only on certain hyperplanes. We also provide some lower dimensional examples, and study acceptance sets for value at risk and expected shortfall.     

Maxwell's equations in an unbounded structure

This paper is concerned with the mathematical analysis of the electromagnetic wave scattering by an unbounded dielectric medium, which is mounted on a perfectly conducting infinite plane. By introducing a transparent boundary condition on a plane surface confining the medium, the scattering problem is modeled as a boundary value problem of Maxwell's equations. Based on a variational formulation, the problem is shown to have a unique weak solution for a wide class of dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability by using the generalized Lax–Milgram theorem. Hard uncertainties in multiobjective layout optimization of photovoltaic power plants

This paper describes how to treat hard uncertainties defined by so-called uncertainty maps in multiobjective optimization problems. For the uncertainty map being set-valued, a Taylor formula is shown under appropriate assumptions. The hard uncertainties are modeled using parametric set optimization problems for which a scalarization result is given. The presented new approach for the solution of multiobjective optimization problems with hard uncertainties is then applied to the layout optimization of photovoltaic power plants. Since good weather forecasts are difficult to obtain for future years, weather data are really hard uncertainties arising in the planning process. Numerical results are presented for a real-world problem on the Galapagos island Isabela.     

Composite generalized Laguerre spectral method for nonlinear Fokker–Planck equations on the whole line

In this paper, we propose a composite Laguerre spectral method for the nonlinear Fokker–Planck equations modelling the relaxation of fermion and boson gases. A composite Laguerre spectral scheme is constructed. Its convergence is proved. Numerical results show the efficiency of this approach and coincide well with theoretical analysis. Some results on the Laguerre approximation and techniques used in this paper are also applicable to other nonlinear problems on the whole line. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Global stability of a multi‐group model with distributed delay and vaccination

A delayed multi‐group SVEIR epidemic model with vaccination and a general incidence function has been formulated and studied in this paper. Mathematical analysis shows that the basic reproduction number plays a key role in the dynamics of the model: the disease‐free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable when , while the endemic equilibrium exists uniquely and is globally asymptotically stable when . For the proofs, we exploit a graph‐theoretical approach to the method of Lyapunov functionals. Our results show that distributed delay has no impact on the global stability of equilibria, and the results improve and generalize some known results. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Exact separation theorem for closed sets in Asplund spaces

In this paper, in terms of the Fréchet normal cone, we establish exact separation results for finitely many disjoint closed sets in an Asplund space, which supplement the extremal principle and some fuzzy separation theorems. As an application, we provide a new optimality condition for a constraint optimization problem in terms of Fréchet subdifferential and Fréchet normal cone.     

一般梯形模糊逼近算子及其在模糊运输问题中的应用

研究运输成本信息为一般模糊数的模糊运输问题.首先,在保持一般模糊数的核不变的条件下,建立一般模糊数与一般梯形模糊数的距离最小优化模型,通过求解模型得到一般模糊数的一般梯形模糊逼近算子,并给出该逼近算子具有的性质如数乘不变性、平移不变性、连续性等.然后利用该逼近算子将一般模糊运输信息表转换成一般梯形模糊运输信息表,再根据已有GFLCM和GFMDM算法得到模糊运输问题的近似最优解,最后给出具体算例分析说明方法的有效性和合理性.     

可行策略对应的图像拓扑下广义博弈Nash平衡的稳定性

以往关于广义博弈Nash平衡的稳定性的研究,均利用可行策略映射之间的一致度量.现考虑在更弱的度量下,利用可行策略映射图像之间的Hausdorff距离定义度量.在此弱图像拓扑下,证明了广义博弈空间的完备性,以及Nash平衡映射的上半连续性和紧性,进而得到广义博弈Nash平衡的通有稳定性.即在Baire分类的意义下,大多数的广义博弈都是本质的.
